BRINGING THE UNRELEASED CAMERA TO THE NEW ERUPTION SITE IN ICELAND
COMMISSIONED BY SONY EUROPE
12 hours before my departure to Iceland, I got a call from Sony Europe: "We've got something for you!"
Working on contents about unreleased camera gear is always fulfilling but stressful at the same time. During this commissioned work, I've found three things super challenging:
to dedicate time to shoot footages of the camera in my already tight schedule (I was booked for 5 shootings in 2 weeks)
I didn't have time to book an assistant, so I had to think creatively, taking footages and photos by myself (selfie mode activated)
working with unreleased products out on the field is extremely risky. You are under embargo, and you really don't want to be that guy who leaks images of the to-be-coming-soon camera.
The main outcome of the trip was a short video, which has since been taken over by Sony Global and just hit 900.000 views on Sony Alpha channel.
